Ready to get started?
Spend a day in the life of a TAA Student Pilot with a Discovery Flight to nearby Belews Lake. Paired with an experienced instructor, you’ll go through pre-flight instruction, aircraft inspection and take control of an aircraft inflight! Later you’ll complete a post-flight debriefing and take a tour of our facilities.
Starting with zero hours of flight time, we can help you meet the FAA’s ATP program-specific minimum requirements and then complete the required time-building hours (approximately 1500 hours total time) by working as a Certified Flight Instructor in about two – to three years. This timeline is based on an average flying schedule of four to five days per week. Some piloting opportunities may require less hours. We are happy to coach our students to transition into an exciting career.

We enjoy connecting our students to their next job prospect through networking and interviewing opportunities with regional airlines, cargo and other commercial carriers. TAA is a Flight School Affiliate for PSA Airlines’ Cadet Program, a wholly owned airline for American Airlines, among others.
After completing the requirements for your Private Pilot’s license through Certified Flight Instructor, many of our best students become eligible to work at TAA.
