Beyond the skies
If you have an adventurous child in your life with an interest in flying and learning how things work, our youth aviation programs will broaden their horizons. The AeroCamp and AeroChapter Youth Aviation programs give future aviators the full experience of aviation history, airport and aircraft functionality while having fun and making new friends along the way.

AeroChapter (ages 12-16)
The fun of learning about the teamwork behind-the-scenes at the airport and understanding aircraft functionality leads many of our AeroCamp cadets to continue with us in AeroChapter. In these sessions, there is a stronger emphasis on piloting and flying but the well-rounded curriculum covers all aspects of flight and airport operations.
In addition to ground school, AeroChapter cadets will have one solo private pilot session, three group flights which include participating in pre-flight safety checks, evaluating weather conditions, route planning, and introduction to the air traffic communications required on the runway and during a flight.
Both the flight time and ground school time will be logged. If your cadet is 16 years old and intends to gain a Private Pilot’s license, this is valuable flying time!

The cost for the 2026-2027 program will be determined at a later date. Payment in full is required to reserve a spot and is due in late September. No refunds will be given for canceled lessons.
We also suggest that each cadet purchase a pilot’s logbook. They are available for purchase at the office or may be found online.
AeroChapter events are scheduled during the school year. The session begins around October 1st and ends around March 31st.
Classes are located at our offices within Piedmont-Triad International Airport (GSO), 1030 PTI Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409
