TAA is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and helping our customers to do the same. As such, we are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak according to the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
We want to share with you the actions we are taking to help protect our employees and customers.
We’ve advised our employees to follow the public health authorities’ guidance regarding hygiene and personal travel, and we’ve reinforced existing TAA policy encouraging employees who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and consult with a medical professional. Frequent washing of hands and the other preventive procedures are encouraged for both staff and customers.
As a practical matter, we have advised our office staff to disinfect all common “touch” surfaces at least once per shift, including but not limited to door handles/knobs, computer keyboards, mouse, telephones, and rest rooms.
In addition, we have provided disinfected wipes, sprays, and gels at various locations in the office and at the aircraft hangar station. We encourage all instructors and students to use these products to wipe down the aircraft touch surfaces before entering the aircraft and prior to beginning their standard safety checklist procedures.
Please practice social distancing while in the office. We understand this will not be possible while in the cockpit. This is why it is imperative that neither students nor instructors fly if either are feeling ill.
We appreciate the trust that you place in TAA. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to help keep our employees and customers safe while providing the services you need to run your business.
Thank you for your patience,
Bruce J. McCall
